Teaching
Curriculum, community programs, and workshops
Wesley built the only Red Seal Landscape Horticulturist program in Northern BC alongside K5T and Vancouver Island University, and taught it. The classroom was a working farm, and the teaching was the job-site kind: soil, plants, machines, and real problems on real ground. That experience is available to other organizations and communities.
Curriculum development
Priced per engagementFor colleges, training organizations, and First Nations education programs: a complete horticulture or land-based training program built from the ground up, from course structure and accreditation partners to the teaching garden it runs on.
Community food-growing programs
Priced per engagementFor communities that want to grow their own food and their own growers. Wesley works alongside your people, on your land, building the farm or garden and the skills to run it at the same time. The measure of success is simple: when the project ends, the knowledge stays in the community.
Workshops and talks
Priced per dayA day or a weekend, hands-on and on your ground: greenhouse startup, soil building, propagation, planting days, or a talk for your organization or event.
The Red Seal program at K5T
From 2023 to 2026 Wesley taught the program on the K5T community farm, with the greenhouse doubling as the classroom: propagation, transplanting, and crop care taught on live crops. Thirty-three of thirty-six students graduated.
